Fool Me Twice

‘A unique addition to the historical romance genre, “Fool Me Twice” explores the life of a gentlewoman caught between two lives. Due to the nature of the plot, there is plenty of conflict and a quick pace to keep it going as the story flips between Caro’s two lives. Tobias is an intriguing main lead: he is not an heir or wealthy in his own right, instead a second son who is often a disappointment to his parents. The combination of the unlikely hero and heroine adds plenty of sparks without crossing a line for the genre […] this is a must read for historical romance lovers!

Entertaining dialogue and the loyalty of good friends kept me completely immersed in the story. The plot was unpredictable, and the sense of danger added to the suspense. Caro’s transitions into Angelica were easy to follow. I recommend Fool Me Twice to readers who like a slow-burn romance with well-developed characters who are quick-witted.

A Dangerous deal

a beautiful novel set in 18th century in England [..] The plot is unique and intriguing. It portrays the challenges women of that era faced [..] Philippa created impressive characters, especially Rachel. I love strong, vocal, and intelligent women, and Rachel displayed these qualities, making her the perfect main character/protagonist. However, there are other characters that I loved to hate. The Feltons were my recipe for laughter, and I loved them. A Dangerous Deal was well written, easy to follow, and maintained great dialogues. ‘

‘In the words of Arleigh, “A Dangerous Deal” lets the reader “leave the rest of the world to itself for a while” as one is hooked up in the drama, humor, suspense and craziness of the lead characters. The backdrop of well-drawn 1776s’ cultural events gives a unique spark to the thread of romance that completes the package like a perfect rainbow.’

Lord of Worth

Lord of Worth by Philippa Jane Keyworth is a feel-good historical romance that reveals the petty dramas of Georgian society. I loved the situational comedy that developed as Lady Goring gleans as much information as she can to manipulate and embarrass the main protagonists. The romantic tension grows as barriers accumulate between the lovers. I didn’t want to believe Rebecca would lose James, but it was a lot of fun watching her realize she wants what she does not have. This is a charming, entertaining, and relaxing read.

The Unexpected Earl

‘This is a charming and squeaky clean Regency Romance with a solid hero and feisty heroine who obviously belong together. I enjoyed settling in for the twists and turns of the plot as they find their way out of their estrangement to reunite.

The Edict

P.J. Keyworth has created a fantasy story full of intrigue and adventure in The Edict (The Emrilion Trilogy Book 1). … this [is] a slow-burn romance that I couldn’t stop reading. There is exceptional detail in describing the surroundings, which makes them easy to envision. Each character exhibited a distinct personality that matched their actions. The Edict will appeal to fantasy readers who enjoy action-filled stories that address common social issues.

Stephanie Chapman, Readers’ Favorite, 5 Star Review

Ms. Keyworth uses the Biblical story of Esther to construct a powerful new fantasy world that is brimming with life. Kiara and the Prince are well-constructed heroes with believable backstories and the supporting cast is just as interesting and complex. While the plot is not original, the new setting allows the author to draw deeper into the human story. Intense and well paced (with an ending battle sequence that rivals Hollywood blockbuster movies), readers will be chomping at the bit waiting for the next book in the trilogy!
