The Widow’s Redeemer Launch Party Photos!

Hello all! I realised that although I had meant to do it earlier, I hadn’t put up any pictures from the launch party of The Widow’s Redeemer! Shocking! So I have decided to dedicate an entire post to it 🙂The Widow's Redeemer Launch Party - Philippa Jane Keyworth

Getting ready to sign some copies of the book. For the people who made it, they will have seen that I had to rearrange most of my furniture to fit everyone in (what a lovely problem to have), and in this picture I am sat at my dining table which is pushed to the side of the dining room and piled with copies of The Widow’s Redeemer awaiting their new owners!

Oh, the concentration! One of my good friends will know that recently I tried to sign my book with her name! At least on the launch night I was on the ball enough to sign my OWN name! The Widow's Redeemer Launch Party - Philippa Jane Keyworth

Ah, the lovely sight of all my books, a bouquet of flowers sent from my publisher and some congratulations cards 🙂 It was so funny, because later in the evening, everyone would cram into this one room (after being spread around four rooms in my flat) for the reading. Thank you to everyone for being so patient and squishing in so well! The Widow's Redeemer Launch Party - Philippa Jane Keyworth

The sweets! I did have a bowl on the table I was signing at but I didn’t eat ANY….well, maybe one. You can see my blue fountain pen I used to sign the books. I was so sad because I had lost my favourite fountain pen, a Waterman my parents gave me for a birthday present one year. I’d only find it like a week later – how frustrating!

It was so lovely to have everyone together to celebrate and my parents and my little sister even surprised me by arriving for the evening after telling me they couldn’t make it! Such a great surprise which really made the evening. The Widow's Redeemer Launch Party - Philippa Jane KeyworthAnd another smiler to finish off. You’ve probably noticed I don’t have any photos of the guests on here, but that’s because some of them are a bit fuzzy and I wasn’t sure if my friends would be happy with me posting them on here. I may well add them to Facebook instead 🙂

Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed perusing some of these photos and I’m hoping they’ll be the first of many! Take care and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year if you don’t stop by before!

Philippa Jane Keyworth, known to her friends as Pip, has been writing since she was twelve in every notebook she could find. Originally trained as a horse-riding instructor, Philippa went on to become a copywriter before beginning a degree in History. A born again Christian, Philippa lives in the south of England with her handsome husband. Philippa has always written stories and believes that, since it is one of her loves and passions, she always will. In her early writing career, she dabbled in a variety of genres, but it was the encouragement of a friend to watch a film adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice that began her love affair with the British Regency. Since then, she has watched every Regency film and TV series she could get her hands on and become well acquainted with Georgette Heyer's novels which gave her the inspiration to write her own. Both as a reader and a writer, Philippa believes it is important to escape into a world you yourself would want to live in. This is why she writes stories that will draw you into the characters' joys and heartaches in a world apart from our own. Her debut novel, The Widow's Redeemer (Madison Street Publishing, 2012), is a traditional Regency romance bringing to life the romance between a young widow with an indomitable spirit and a wealthy viscount with an unsavory reputation. The novel has been received well by readers and reviewers who have praised the heartfelt story and admirable characters. Her second novel, The Unexpected Earl (Madison Street Publishing, 2014), explores another romance in the Regency era when an impetuous young woman has her life turned upside down by the reappearance of the earl who jilted her six years ago. So, what are you waiting for? Get swept away into another time with characters you will learn to love, and experience the British Regency like never before.
