Hello all! I realised that although I had meant to do it earlier, I hadn’t put up any pictures from the launch party of The Widow’s Redeemer! Shocking! So I have decided to dedicate an entire post to it 🙂
Getting ready to sign some copies of the book. For the people who made it, they will have seen that I had to rearrange most of my furniture to fit everyone in (what a lovely problem to have), and in this picture I am sat at my dining table which is pushed to the side of the dining room and piled with copies of The Widow’s Redeemer awaiting their new owners!
Oh, the concentration! One of my good friends will know that recently I tried to sign my book with her name! At least on the launch night I was on the ball enough to sign my OWN name!
Ah, the lovely sight of all my books, a bouquet of flowers sent from my publisher and some congratulations cards 🙂 It was so funny, because later in the evening, everyone would cram into this one room (after being spread around four rooms in my flat) for the reading. Thank you to everyone for being so patient and squishing in so well!
The sweets! I did have a bowl on the table I was signing at but I didn’t eat ANY….well, maybe one. You can see my blue fountain pen I used to sign the books. I was so sad because I had lost my favourite fountain pen, a Waterman my parents gave me for a birthday present one year. I’d only find it like a week later – how frustrating!
It was so lovely to have everyone together to celebrate and my parents and my little sister even surprised me by arriving for the evening after telling me they couldn’t make it! Such a great surprise which really made the evening. And another smiler to finish off. You’ve probably noticed I don’t have any photos of the guests on here, but that’s because some of them are a bit fuzzy and I wasn’t sure if my friends would be happy with me posting them on here. I may well add them to Facebook instead 🙂
Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed perusing some of these photos and I’m hoping they’ll be the first of many! Take care and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year if you don’t stop by before!
Congrats, Philippa! You are just so darn cute!
Thanks Ginger! Lovely of you to say so! x
Good for you! Many sales to follow! 🙂
Thanks Juliet – Here’s hoping!
How exciting! I’m going to look for a paper copy here in the States 🙂
Lovely to hear you’ll be looking out for it! Thanks again for the great review you gave me 🙂
